Oh ho..Ng folks are reading the forum and know we are working out an alternative..less hits less $$ for them. I will mostly post there to keep the cams going but will visit here too..What fun!! We should have thought of this sooner..ahh hindsight..thanks again Bear

Yep, Rita! I am loyal to NG but this is America the FREE! We are trying to preserve our forum family! I will be on the PP forum for the duration but this is gonna be a good place if the forum even has a hiccup like in the past! See ya later!

I like this blog. If the pond goes down for any reason it will be a good back up...like WildRose's sight was. Linj, it was great to talk to you. I can't wait until we are in the same room. Watch out Tucson the Pondies are coming.

I was a little reluctant to start a forum, I like NG forum and don't want to take any traffic and people visiting their forum but if something does happen at least you will have a place to meet

Yeah you should be able to use avatars, I found a setting to enable them but I haven't tried it yet

This site is really going to make lurking a little more difficult [font=Arial] [/font] at work. [font=Georgia] [/font]Just needed[font=Century Gothic] [/font] to try out[font=Times New Roman] [/font] the different [font=Arial] [/font] options to see how it works. EDIT....the options didn't work.

lol Shar, I had the same problem, I'll have to figure that one out. there is a setting for the avatar size though. Rita the setting was for 15 posts per page, I changed it to 35, do you think that's good or should I increase or decrease it ?

Lynn, LOL! I figured it this way: GMT +5 hrs is 11 hrs ahead of me. So, to make it my time I needed to take away the 5 hrs plus another 6 hrs, so I made mine GMT -6 hrs, and voila!! It is right on my time. Go to your profile at the top of the page to change ... I think!

Hi ginlyn, you have to go into your profile and set your timezone. The forum time is in GMT

the size setting for the avatars was set to 80x80 pixels. I increased it to 120 x 120, see if that's any better

Okay, I have one more question. Is there a way I can set to so that it will stay at newest post first. I have set it a couple of times, but it always goes back to oldest first.

Hi Joan! My avatar has been with me for 2 yrs. When I started posting on the NG forum, it automatically resized it for me, then I just copied it to my documents and then to here!! Maybe a bit convoluted but it worked for me!

BTW, I am soooo sorry that you aren't going to be with us in AZ this time. I was truly looking forward to meeting you!! I hope that everything is okay with you.
